The Company: ER Recruitment are proud to be working exclusively with Dongyi Sourcing UK Limited, a leading fashion sourcing company who are dedicated to innovation, excellence, and the creation of design led and sustainable fashion. Due to growth, they are seeking a skilled and creative Jersey Designer specialising in menswear to join our dynamic design team. This role involves working closely with with the design and production teams to bring unique and on-trend jersey styles to life.
Role & Responsibilities of the Menswear Designer:
Design and develop original jersey concepts for our menswear collections.
Research and interpret current and emerging fashion trends, focusing on menswear and jersey fabric innovations.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and colourways for each design.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate execution of designs, considering fabric characteristics and garment construction.
Work with the marketing team to develop cohesive visual concepts and promotional materials for product launches.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitors, and consumer preferences.
Participate in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and innovative ideas to elevate the brand's offerings.
Ensure all designs align with the brand’s identity and quality standards
About You as the Menswear Designer:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in menswear design, with a focus on jersey fabrics.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant design software.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in menswear jersey design.
Knowledge of fabric types, print techniques, and garment construction.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
Attention to detail and a strong sense of style and colour.
